Scrolling Past Love

Sometimes we stroll or scroll through stores and apps looking for something to fill the space that lingers between the truths we are trying to keep quiet from ourselves. Truths like: we are stuck in cycles with ourselves, with others, and with the world that we are desperate to change yet we keep perpetuating. We may clutter our external environment with over-consumption, when our internal environment is craving fengshui. We want love, yet sometimes we doubt it when it’s present. Sometimes we accept almost love when that’s our norm. Sometimes we chase it when it’s not. We want connection, yet we send more reels than texts. We maintain a perceived safe distance by living in a digital world and it creates discomfort in our physical world. It isn’t about all or nothing. It’s about moderation. It’s about creating enough space to be honest with ourselves and the part we play in perpetuating the cycles of our life and life in general.
