Toyota Tales Part 3:
“Taylor the 2020 Toyota Yaris Hatchback” and/or “Taylor the Toyota” miraculously maintained momentum long enough to do its newfound “Toyota Trudge” into its hometown Stevens Creek Toyota service dealership. This tantrum consisted of multiple maintenance lights illuminating the driver’s dashboard, the car slowing to 20mph, and the engine shaking similarly to the COVID Chills from the COVID vaccine (furthering the Car Covid theory).
Despite the in depth discussion dating back to January of 2021 over whether “Taylor the Toyota” is a lemon, it drives (or in this case stalls) to the beat of their own horn, or if it truly is a decoy Mazda, as it waits mindfully at the Toyota Stevens Creek Service Center, I am considering whether or not I am meant to move on from my Long Term Toyota Relationship (LTTR).
Even though my Toyota’s past and current were used vehicles, they were purchased from Enterprise Car Sales (Carrie the Car, Toyota Yaris Sedan), Hertz Car Sales (Ellie the Toyota Prius C), and Stevens Creek Toyota (Used Car Dealership) (Taylor the 2020 Toyota Yaris Hatchback) it doesn’t mean they couldn’t and wouldn’t withstand the test of time.
Maybe “Taylor the Toyota” has Toyota Trauma (they may have inherited Car COVID from being created in the COVID Era where we were asked to co-exist with consistent collective trauma) maybe they require a renewed revolutionary approach to help “Taylor the Toyota” transform, transcend, and thrive.
In the meantime, we will see if “Taylor the Toyota” receives the support they deserve at their car service center appointment this afternoon, or if it will be time for her to Park In Peace (permanently) and for me to explore a vehicle vision outside of Toyota. Time will tell.
Though if time could tell in a timely manner, I would be tremendously thankful as I am moving to Oregon for a long term “Getaway-ISH” on Saturday morning and my trust is wavering on whether “Taylor the Toyota” will be a trustworthy car companion to trek on my move from California to Oregon.
