Neureal Cafe Conversations

Today, while I was in a coffee shop called Rusty Cup, rescheduling my third retake of my TimeShare Sellers Exam, I began conversing with a fellow coffee shop go-er, who we’ll nickname Sir Neural Handshake. As I went to shake his hand (which to be fully transparent is a new social etiquette I’ve adopted since being in a TimeShare Sales Department atmosphere).

I led with my left hand and then awkwardly self corrected and held out my right hand for a handshake while saying “I’m not left handed, I don’t know why I led with my left hand.”

I laughed at myself and he initiated a second handshake and replied “we can do a handshake with your left hand, it can rewire your neural pathways.”

“Well in that case, maybe I’ll even try texting with my left hand, I’ll get really wild with rewiring my neural pathways,” I somewhat joked (because I actualLEIGH will try it).

He continued on the topic saying, “Some people will even brush their teeth with their non-dominant hand because it promotes new neural pathways.”

“I am consistently looking for ways to add whimsy to mundane tasks so I love that idea, it will honestly make brushing my teeth more fun to know I am rewiring neural pathways,” I responded.

Sometimes we think we need entirely new experiences in order to find new level of feeling in life, and sometimes we do. However, sometimes we can take a familiar task, add some slightly new flair, and find a new flair of feeling.
